App Icon Design in Apple’s Liquid Glass Style

This project involved designing an App Icon for an image-focused application to support exploration and navigation within photo collections. The app icon is built around the most widely used visual symbol for image-based apps, ensuring immediate familiarity at first glance. The icon kept its essential shapes with all elements separated into individual layers. The process began in flat form to define structure, proportion, and scalability. Once the foundation was set, the icon evolved into Apple’s Liquid Glass style, introducing softness and depth without compromising clarity or system alignment. The goal was integration, not embellishment, creating an icon that feels native on the iOS home screen. Color explorations focused on maintaining visibility across a wide range of wallpapers while supporting the app’s calm, exploratory nature. The chosen direction balances light and contrast without drawing unnecessary attention. Default, Dark, and Mono variants adapt seamlessly across system appearances, supporting the App as a tool for visual exploration rather than visual noise.
