Koma Logo & Branding

Koma is an iconic design studio in Skopje, Macedonia that successfully operates in the design sphere for over 30 years. To get the idea of what their core principles in design are, they are true to this quote by Frank Chimero: “People ignore design that ignores people.” A few years ago, I was invited to collaborate with Koma on the overly challenging task to redesign and reimagine their logo and branding. I was inspired by the punctuation mark, which is where their name derives from, to indicate the period before and after my redesign of their branding - a brief pause from what was already done, but a clear indication of plenty more of what’s about to come.
